The story behind the place

Trafalgar Falls is a pair of waterfalls in Dominica’s Roseau Valley. The tourism ministry describes the taller fall on the left as Papa Falls and the shorter one as Mama Falls. Both belong to tributaries of the Roseau River. Look for the contrast between their streams, then the boulders beneath them. The ministry also records a major rockslide in 1995, a reminder that the valley’s water and rock continue to shape one another.
