The story behind the place

Our Lady of Fair Haven Cathedral is a landmark of Roseau, Dominica’s capital. Its own diocese names it among the churches of the western vicariate. The frontage brings together a square bell tower, pointed openings and lower gables, with a slender spire above. Look for the pale figures set against the darker masonry, then the short approach below the entrance. The building’s stone surfaces offer a different texture from the colourful timber houses found elsewhere in the Caribbean.
