Sardarapat — Bell Tower and Bulls
Red tuff, bells and winged bulls frame a place of remembrance.

The story behind the place
At Sardarapat, a bell tower and two monumental winged bulls form an entrance to a larger memorial landscape. The complex commemorates the 1918 battle of Sardarapat, an important moment in Armenian history. Its red tuff stone gives the architecture and sculpture a shared colour. Beyond the entrance, the associated museum explores Armenian life and material culture, connecting public remembrance with everyday objects and traditions.
