Biljarda, Cetinje
A modest stone residence in Cetinje carries an unexpected billiards name.

The story behind the place
Biljarda was built in 1838 as the residence of Petar II Petrović Njegoš. Its name recalls the billiard table that became a memorable feature of the building. Today it is part of the National Museum of Montenegro, preserving objects, books and manuscripts connected with Njegoš. The simple main building, enclosing walls and round towers offer a different image of authority from a richly ornamented royal palace.
