The story behind the place

Tokarevsky Lighthouse has guided vessels near Vladivostok since 1913. Its white shaft and red lantern rise from a small artificial islet at the end of a rocky spit. The surrounding water and changing tides are part of its setting: the connecting route can be flooded. This compact view draws attention to the lighthouse itself rather than the whole causeway.
