# Character artwork

Twelve original user-approved AI-illustrated portraits from 10 September 2026, restored without changes. These are the original proposed starting characters, not live ownership or an automatically maintained list of officeholders. England’s Andy Burnham is the earlier fictional game casting choice, not a claim that he governs England. No photography used. Only the selected portrait is requested, outside WebGL.


## 11 September 2026 starting-leader checkpoint

DNK.png: original generated cartoon of Frederik X, matching the existing
GB-SCT.png artwork as a style reference. Built-in image generation, inspected
before integration. No official photograph is embedded. The full collection is
incomplete: 13 portraits available. Spain generation was blocked by the image
service. Role/date sources appear in each completed territory card.

## Batch 06 · 11 September 2026

Additional named real-world officeholder portraits generated individually with the built-in image service, using the existing AUS.png only as a visual style reference. These are original cartoon illustrations, not official portraits or photographs. Each completed card includes its own biography/tenure source. Portraits are requested only for the selected territory, using the existing lazy image loading outside WebGL. The batch manifest and exceptions are maintained in the project documentation. No fictional substitutes are used for blocked requests.

## Lossless delivery encoding

The same 199 original illustrations are served as lossless WebP at their original dimensions. Every decoded pixel was verified against its original PNG. No portraits were redrawn or resized. Historical PNG filenames above identify the original artwork.


## Batch 07 · 12 September 2026

Original AI-generated illustrated portraits, preserving the previously approved style. Names, roles and tenure source URLs are recorded in docs/LEADER_BATCH_07_RESEARCH.json. Exact prompts, original output paths and corrected likeness attempts are in docs/LEADER_BATCH_07_PROMPTS.json. Accepted portrait IDs: ESP, SWE, SAU, FRO, BIH, FLK, GGY, ATF, GNB, NPL, JEY, AFG, MMR, PRK, PER, VEN, MLI, NER, NIC, MNP, PSE, YEM, ESH, NFK, HUN, PCN, SPM, SMR, WLF, MAF, BLM. SGS reuses FLK because both records refer to Colin Martin-Reynolds. SHN is staged outside public assets pending the scheduled handover.

All images retain original 1254 × 1254 dimensions and exact decoded RGBA pixels through lossless WebP. Batch 07 uses quality 100 / effort 6 as lossless compression settings, not a visual-quality reduction. Existing portrait re-encoding is independently checked against saved original RGBA hashes. See both lossless audit files.

## Separate delivery · 14 September 2026
Portraits are served from the former USURPR portrait host (retired; provenance retained in docs/engineering/ASSET_PROVENANCE.md)/avatars/. Original image pixels are unchanged. BHR and THA are user-supplied illustrations. Main application links now use that public host; the local directory retains this attribution only.

## Same-origin delivery · 24 September 2026
Approved portraits move to this site under /leader-portraits/, copied byte for byte and checked against their recorded SHA-256. No image is redrawn, resized or re-encoded. Saint Helena's Batch 07 portrait of Belinda Lewis is served from here; Kosovo's remains at /avatars/XKX.webp. The other portraits still load from the host above until they are moved.
